Recruiting new members…..
We are actively recruiting for new members. Here is a link to our signup form for new members:

So please keep visiting our site for updates and news of our upcoming performances.

Here is a brief primer about how we’ve come to be, officially formed on June 15, 1018, graduating from a Conceptual Project to a Live, Up -and-Running one.  We began our second season in February of 2019.

History of The EastShore Chorale

Some brief history about our formation…Artist John Eastman from Eastman Community Projects hatched the idea for a Community Choir sometime in February of 2018, measured early interest from social media postings, obtained an advisor Ryan Keeling from the professional choir community, and was lucky enough to attract a great Choir Director Benjamin Filippone.

We visited numerous churches in the Swissvale area, applying to and accepted by, the very nice people at The Swissvale Presbyterian Church where Pastor Melissa Morris and her staff, have gone out of their way to make us feel welcome.

After approximately 5 group auditions in 2018, we found we had a healthy mix of great voices to move forward with, commencing with our first rehearsal on June 15th, 2018.  We then selected our name The EastShore Chorale and announced our logo. The choir’s first public performance was on Sunday July 15th, 2018 at the 11:00 AM Sunday service of The Swissvale Presbyterian Church.

The return of the choir in early 2020 demonstrated our prior achievements and we attracted 35 choir members, up from 25 the prior year.

Stay tuned for more exciting news from The EastShore Chorale, and our many thanks to all. We look forward to great rehearsals, performances, enjoyable and fulfilling times together in the 2021 season.
